There are 4 levels of competition and Maud will now compete at Senior level. At this level they have to work a human scent that was left 2 hours before the hound starts. The route, unknown to the handler, is 3 miles long.

To compete at senior level they need a full permit which demonstrates they are steady in livestock. Maud achieved this at a young age.

Meeting members of the Royal Family

Mauds' gentle nature and love of people makes her an ideal candidate to meet the public.

In March 2023 Maud travelled by train to Crufts for Discover Dogs and appeared in film by Frank Kane about the breed. She met other vulnerable breeds whilst there.

At the Westmoorland Agricultural Show she met Princess Anne and Sophie Countess of Wessex when she represented bloodhounds at the native vulnerable breeds display. Following on from this she appeared on the royal twitter feed and in Hello magazine.

The Kennel Club Gazette included her in two articles about bloodhounds and she has made appearances in Our Dogs.

She is well known locally and entered the dog fun day to raise money for the local community.

Before Covid Maud attended Good Citizen puppy class and was awarded her puppy level. Before lock down she was working towards her bronze level.
