We aim to breed healthy, well socialized puppies with good temperaments that conform to the breed standard and improve the health and genetic diversity of the breed. All the hounds we breed from are health tested beyond Kennel Club recommendations. Health testing gives scientific grounding of the hounds health and is used conjunction with visual assessment. The health of a bloodhound can be seen through its performance and achievements in the show ring and field, they are a dual purpose hound. While we hope for longevity in all our hounds there are some conditions that cannot be predicted such as cancer and torsion (GDV) however careful study of the pedigrees is undertaken to try and mitigate these risks. Mother nature has her own plans sometimes.Bloodhounds are a stubborn and occasional destructive breed (and not just through slobber). They are sensitive souls and each one is an individuals and never happier than when they are working a scent. Mental stimulations is a must for bloodhounds.
